I don't do things the right way

Well... I liked it. That's the stuffed animal I've kept since I was a wee baby. I named her Bunny. Creative, right?

Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out colors. I couldn't get the red to look the right kind of bright, and I couldn't get the background to look right. Had super problems with bright colors and fucking GREEN in class today. And Bunny's leg is like super giant lol

My ultimate weakness is nature painting. Ughhhhhhh

Life Painting Homework Week 2

First I tried it with a half inch brush, which was shitty. and then I tried it with a nice blending brush. Much easier. Still not great. Spent maybe 5-15 min on each of these? Acrylics.

One of my eyes seems to be sinking on my face. In real life. I don't know.

Learned more about shadows. Not sure how to make it not look like a cut off section though on the forearm there. Fucked up the fingers 8[

Oh yeah, and behind that on my whiteboard is something my friend Trina drew and wrote. She is sort of like a life mentor now! We talk about art and what it means to be Asian and stuff. Next year, we might have a show together!

Blue Violence

Oil on acrylic. Not sure if I will add different shades of blue. I kind of like the dichotomy of the two colors. The red gives it an almost violent abusive feel. It is angry, stressed, irritated. The blue is the sadness, the depression, the surrender.
