Some good old garbage

Pen

Garbage. No seriously. That is our garbage. hahahahahaha No worries, we threw it away yesterday. Still gotta work a lot with keeping track of perspective and proportion and such.

Dedicated to Charles because Baby Adri wanted this trash. Also, THE BOX and :3

Acrylic

Mandala assignment for class. Based on something from one of Lynda Barry's books about children being reflective and able to observe who people are... then growing up and not being able to see what they've become. Sorry for the poor scan. Had to piece it together. Ugh.

Sharpie

The sketch for an enlarged piece... which looks... almost exactly the same as this. My roommate, Charles, pointed out later that it's "down for the count" and not out... whoops. lol

Uh... My leave.

Mm. Might ditch this blogspot for my tumblr account. I know, right? Tumblr. Cue Sideshow Bob grumble. Sigh.

Too many mom and dad blogs. I gotta be in with the hippy hip hipsters, right? But there are too many distractions on tumblr. HMMMMMM. I will try it out for a little while and see if I come back here.

For now, www.hellxia.tumblr.com.

College Life Ch. 1.1 and more

Had to draw some idioms taken literally without words. "Apple of my eye"

Dr. Seuss fanart. Kind of. "Curiosity killed the cat"

And then for this assignment, we were supposed to draw something and then turn it into a metal wire sculpture. What I created is the worst piece of shit ever ahahahhhahahaha can't stop laughing in my mind when I think about it. Poor thing.

Lots of good stuff upcoming...

Beginning concept sketches for a comic about my college experience.

The introduction.

An idea that has been in my head for a while.

Also an idea that has been in my head for a while.

A more recent idea that has probably been done... this one is just a concept sketch.

Ugh need internet.

Minor Update

No Internetz currently... but I'll scan some images I've done over the past week and post them tomorrow when I start mooching off the library's internet. lol

In-class assignment. Dumb. Paint some fruit. Paint the inverse. Paint a close-up abstract [mine is a butt. hahahahahaha]. Paint the fruit with some sort of figurative, abstract, or landscape aspect. In Communist Russia, peach eats youuuuu.

In-class. Uh, pretty bad scan, but that is pretty much what it looks like. More of a pencil-sketched concept.

I've been getting some good thinking/sketching time in at 3am so I'll try and post those tomorrow. That is all.

I Don't Know About This

I've had this concept in my head for a while. Still need to work on it. I like it though. It's obvious and short. I was originally thinking to make it into an animation.

Click for larger images, as always.

For the third to last one, I definitely need to add more of a natural curve to her posture. She's supposed to be dancing with someone behind her, but it kind of just looks like she's spazzing or something. Fluxuated her body too much in the last few. I only wanted her stomach to swell. Overall I'm pretty happy with it though. Took me about 1.5-2 hours last night. So late. So early.

And in case I don't upload anything on the fourth, Happy Fourth of July to all you American idiots out there.

I wrote down, "You prepare. Then it hits you like you never saw it coming," at some point in the recent past. Also, while drawing this I realized, as illegibly or legibly written iono, that the sound of the pen on paper sounded like a train. It was kind of neat. I called the sketch "I'm ready now to train."
