GETTING STUFF DONE HELLXIA

SO THAT MEANS I ACTUALLY GOT EVERYTHING DONE BY BEDTIME. WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT

I feel super accomplished, but I know that I will fall behind by next week. This weekend, read two chapters and finished drawing with the theme of War, which is sadly on newsprint, so it won't last very long. Also, I hella ripped an edge when pulling it out of the pad. ffffffffffff

Also, the bombs' shading look weird because we were supposed to do it completely from imagination... so... i don't... know how reflections work. yeah.

A friend posted this story on bookface. I thought it was really relevant to the theme of my year at the MCC.

You can let go, but that doesn't mean the problem won't come back to pester you every now and then. Scars go deep. You can dig into your flesh, but it won't make the scars go away.

I drew Rob Littlefield. Not done yet. Need to push myself to finish his shirt and add more contrast.

Outlines aren't human, must gain more information to become human.

lol I imagine that my mum would see this and automatically think that this guy is a sex offender.

In other news...

2nd annual Sacramento Electronic Music Festival was AMAZING. Wish I would've stayed for the last acts. I kept leaving about a half hour before the end. It's just how I roll.

Things I learned:

Be awkward and nice, get CD
Enjoy music while sitting alone, girls and boys will ask you to dance
Be around intoxicated people, make friends and dance a lot
Dance around intoxicated people, get beer on shoes
Dance by yourself, no one will care and anyone that does should be dancing anyway
Don't drink

Keep money
Avoid dates
Have human conversations with intoxicated people

Got a crazy workload this semester, but it's gonna be so worth it. Hoping that this will be my best semester so far.

Gonna redo everyone's face except for the asian and indian [which is also asian lol] girls. damn, i hope it's just the photo that's making the indian girl's body darker. ffffffff PAINTING TIP: WEAR A LOT OF SOCKS AND WARM CLOTHES IF YOU PAINT OUTSIDE IN THE WINTER BECAUSE THE LIGHTING IN YOUR HOME SUCKS.

Stuff

I don't know why I always individually added these images here... technical things. Technology. HA.

Experimenting with ink pens and brush things and blowing on blobs of ink on paper

This bottled ginger soda stuff was pretty good for a drink that has like an inch of actual ginger in it.

Um, I guess I was thinking about paperclips, but not paperclips like the very intriguing documentary about educating a very white-dominated elementary school about the holocaust and diversity and stuff.

This started out creepily drawing the face of this one girl in my class because she had a pretty face.

Goddammit I want this band to happen.

I think this is me. I can do portraits of myself pretty fast now because of Flohr lol

Forcibly requested portrait of a mum. Was pretty quick, too.

I had some other very interesting drawings, but I am not emotionally ready to post them.

This one was about how Christmas forces people that don't always get along together. Also maybe about how the capitalist-created holiday forces people to realize their own loneliness.
